Day 5 (August 25, 2006) - Sandusky, OH
<<^>>
EUREKA!!! Finally a bike ride! We let Francesca sleep in, much to her pleasure, and we set off on our bikes to explore the surroundings. Sandusky, OH home of the tallest (425 ft) and fastest (120 mph) roller-coaster and not much else worth mentioning. We got info about the ferries running to the Erie Islands and decided to visit Kellys Island after we pick up Francesca.

25 miles later, we are back at the campground. A 20-minute ferry ride takes us to Kellys Island for the afternoon, where the roam about until dinnertime.

Next destination: Chicago.

How in the hell do I start this up?

The only grocery store on the island.

Rush hour on Kellys Island.

Glacial grooves on the island.

Laura the tourist.

Francesca the tourist.

View of the inland.

View of the outland.

Francesca's first time driving ... and last.

Much better.

Apparently, this islander loves woodcarving.

All of a sudden a deer emerges from the woods and pays little attention to us, just a few feet away.
